School buses lined up waiting for the dismissal of the pupils
The pupils are bonding well with their new friends. Although they tend to go back to their own Singaporean friends after e.g. lunch, they are quick to reaquaint with their Vietnamese friends once activity starts.
The homestay will provide ample opportunities for them to foster a closer relationship.
Vietnamese love to sing, from the very young to the old and they will sing at the slightest opportunity. They enjoy singing. And they show it when they are singing.
Singaporean kids also love to sing but they do not show it. Thay are more concern about their face - whether people are laughing at them or not.
In Vietnam, we see that our pupils singing without such inhibitations. Although some still have reservations but a lot of them are very forthcoming.
We have also seen pupils who are very shy and quiet beginning to open up, even leading!
