Final rehearsal

Hi everyone,

Hope you are enjoying the first day of your school holidays.
However you are reminded to come back to school for your final rehearsal before we set off for Vietnam. Some of you have been counting down the days and getting excited, I hope all of you are looking forward to this trip.

Post : 8th Meeting

The pupils had their 8th meeting in the music room. They still can improve on their 2 song items 'Top of the World' and 'Peng You'. They need to be less consious about themselves. They need to open up their mouths and start singing!

They were also taught some basic Vietnamese by Mrs Ong.

2nd Parents' Briefing

First of all, the committee would like to thank all the parents who made time to come down for the 2nd briefing.

We are just as concern as the parents about the situation in Central Vietnam, therefore we have decided to give Central Vietnam a miss and extend our stay in HCMC.

The pupils were given 3 sets of materials namely the itinery, worksheets for the trip as well as reflection sheet.

Mr Yeo was also at the briefing to answer queries from the parents.

This is the second last meeting for the pupils. We welcome Justin (2A1) who joined us for the first time. So far, the progress for the performance has been great. They should be able to perform the dikir barat anytime if they are asked to. However, the other 2 items need more brushing up especially the movements and the lyrics.

Before they start their practice, the pupils were briefed by the teachers on some dos and don'ts in Vietnam. Basically they were told to remain humble and respect the culture when they are in Vietnam.
